Josh is a teacher from British Columbia, Canada who has a diverse range of teaching, learning, and leadership experiences throughout his 20+ year career in education. In addition to teaching, he is also a speaker, consultant, teacher coach, and Assessment Associate for Solution Tree.

As a practicing teacher and leader in education, Josh is a sought-after speaker and facilitator to provide professional learning experiences for teachers, schools, and districts in the areas of assessment, grading, pedagogy, and leading for change in education. Additionally, he consults with various provincial and national organizations to review, contribute to, and create resources for teachers and the education system.

Josh has been teaching in the K-12 system for more than 20 years, and he has served as a high school department head for more than 10 of those years. Additionally, he has taught at the post-secondary level in the faculties of Education and Kinesiology, as well as mentoring/coaching graduate students in a Master of Education program. Josh’s experiences and approaches as a leader, a classroom teacher, and as a physical and health education teacher have been recognized and celebrated at the district, national, and international levels by organizations such as PHE Canada and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD).

He received a Bachelor of Education from the University of New Brunswick and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Vancouver Island University
